Yesterday, Nollywood actress- Rahama Sadau posted a picture of herself in a gown with a back slit. This event generated so much disturbance on the actress’s twitter page. Being a Muslim, many people condemned her with harsh words for dressing in a way that painted Islam in the wrong light.
Hypocrite is the word that was used by many to describe her actions yesterday. Some individuals however respected her decision and supported her actions. After all, everyone has a freedom to dress in whatever way they see fit.
The above issue resulted into a clash between overly sanctimonious Muslims who condemned her and others Muslims who supported her, leading to the trend of the hashtag #AssistantAllah amongst others.
Today, the actress, again, took to her twitter page to denounce her approval of the condemnation done against Allah and the Holy Prophet. She pleaded for forgiveness against the wrongs that her posts had caused and admonished everyone to learn to respect the religious beliefs and perception of other people.
