Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq having realized that his days in office is fast coming to an end is now using the state resources to test run his next career venture which is organization of circus shows in Kwara state.
One of such shows is presently ongoing at the state banquet hall where he has assembled clowns and ventriloquist better described as paperweight politicians under the guise of defection ceremony.
There is no greater shortcoming of a man than a lack of shame (shamelessness) which is why the Yorubas will pray that “Olorun ma je ki aya Alainiojuti”, this is because a man can be poor and still carry himself with prestige in a way that he reserves his honored despite his financial status but what do you make of a governor who has lost all his bigwigs and his return to office is not only threatened by his initial opposition, the PDP but also a third force that was a creation of his own failings.
A man who should have resigned to his closet to salvage what’s left of his reputation having proved without a doubt that he’s not only a poor manager of state resources but also a terrible manager of resourceful people most of whom got him elected into office. He has now resorted to organizing a circus show to celebrate the defection of paperweight politicians whose departure will not be missed by the party that once gave them a shade.
A few weeks ago when there was heightened speculations that Musbau Eshinrogunjo was planning to defect to the PDP, the deputy governor, Kayode Alabi in a speed of light ran to his office to allay all fears and a picture with the former SSA was widely circulated across the media space claiming there was no cause for alarm, so I ask those celebrating the defection of their newly found Political Almajiris that who has tried to stop the defection of those paperweights who can’t move a pin.
When the former SSA on poverty alleviation, Abubakar Seko was to defect to PDP, governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq sent the Senator from Kwara North to invite him to Abuja where he begged him not to defect, can the new defectors tell us who considered them important enough to appeal against their defection?
At least we all saw Musbau Eshinrogunjo organize a press conference to announce his defection with hundreds of people moving with him. The governor should instruct his newly found Political Almajiris to organize their own press conference with 10 people and watch them entertain us to another display of shame.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s sun in Kwara state is about to set and by God’s grace in 2023, we’ll be buying tickets to attend his circus shows.
