Olufadi Bridge is now a death trap, Oke Ogun Community cries out

Infrastructutal development has since being one of the fundamentals dividends of a viable democratic society in which Kwara stands as one in today’s democratic setting of Nigeria. The incumbent Governor of Kwara state is a leading governor in terms of providing infrastructural development and facilities across the 16 LGA’s in Kwara state.

But nonetheless this medium reported an accident that occurred last week at the Oko Erin community in ilorin where a car was unfortunate plunged into a canal while being driven across a nearly sabotaged bridge and which claimed the lives of several innocent people. The accident could not be attached to anything rather than the state government for their negligence in attending to the community even after series of calls and pleads.

The people of Oke Ogun Community in Ilorin South axis of the State has expressed there plights and sadness over the bad state of roads and a particular major bridge called Olufadi bridge along Niger/Edun Junction in their community. This call was made by different occupants of the community to the Kwara state Governor Mall. Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman to come to their aids to prevent further loss of life and property just as the recent Oko Erin incident.
In an Exclusive interview by Satcommedia with one of the Market women in the Popular Olufadi Market, She lamented on the poor state of the bridge, She told this medium that most drivers that plight the roads stop taking them to the market cause of the dilapidated bridge.
