Nigerian Youth Parliament: My Voice Will Change Policy, Make Impact— Hon Hawal

Honorable Hassan Muhammed Hawal has been inaugurated as a member representing Kwara Central Senatorial District at the Nigerian Youth Parliament’s 6th session. The inauguration, held at the Senate Wing of the National Assembly in Abuja, marks a significant milestone in Hawal’s journey to empower youths in Kwara State.

Hawal expressed gratitude to Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for nominating him to the Nigerian Youth Parliament. He praised the Governor’s commitment to youth development, citing initiatives such as ensuring representation in his cabinet and driving youth-centric programs.

The Nigerian Youth Parliament, established in 2008, is a legislative and developmental training institution aimed at empowering young people through meaningful representation ¹. With 109 members representing all senatorial districts in Nigeria, the parliament provides a platform for youths to contribute to decision-making processes.

Hawal outlined his plans to drive positive change, including mentorship, education, job training, civic engagement, empowerment, and sustainability initiatives. He encouraged youth stakeholders to be proactive, share their ideas, participate in initiatives, and collaborate on projects.

As a representative of Kwara Central Senatorial District, Hawal assured that he would use his voice to change policy and make a meaningful impact. He believes that collaboration and partnerships can drive positive change and create a more inclusive, sustainable, and equitable world.
