In the just concluded online poll conducted by Nigerians decide, an independent research think-tank based in the United States of America, the PDP Gubernatorial candidate for Kwara state, Alh. Shuaibu YAMAN Abdullahi polled the highest vote to beat his contenders as the most popular and preferred candidate to win next month’s Gubernatorial election in Kwara state.
Yaman in a landslide victory polled a total of 100,165 votes to defeat his closest rival and incumbent Governor of Kwara state, Gov. AA of the APC who polled a total vote of 92,361; Gobir Waziri Yakubu of the YPP 62,120 and Lawal Hakeem Oladimeji of the SDP 8,120.
The emergence of YAMAN as the most preferred candidate is a testament to his growing influence across the length and breadth of Kwara, and an indication of the fact that PDP still holds the ace in the forthcoming Gubernatorial election in the state.
The result of the poll has helped in reawakening the consciousness of kwarans in identifying the real enemies of the state and how they have drawn the stars backwards with their words and deed.
kwarans have already decided by translating the long list of their daily grievances to the online poll and waiting eagerly to replicate similar action in the upcoming 11th March gubernatorial election.
The choice of Alh. Shuaibu YAMAN Abdullahi as the most preferred candidate is as a result of his marked leadership qualities which produce first-class results, and how he continues to distinguish himself as a politically vigorous leader who will remain resolute in his determination to liberate the state of harmony from the clutches of the profiteers and swindlers who make the state look big for nothing despite the abundant human and material resources at her disposal.
While widespread frustration as a result of the dwindling economy, growing insecurity, high level of corruption and, disregard for the rule of law have diminished the confidence of Kwarans in the administration of the incumbent APC and their inability to cater for their needs, YAMAN’s candidacy has continued to enjoy wide acceptance from the majority of Kwarans as the last resort of a common man.
At a time when our state is in reverse gear, we need all kwarans to come back home, so that jointly, we can re-steer the course of our ship back to the shores of progress, prosperity and achievement.
