Today is an excitement moment for all of us- ranging from the children, grandchildren and great-grand children of our ever seasoned father, Alhaji Aminullahi AbdulRasheed a potential administrator and grassroot politician, whose political and academic sagacity go beyond dubious.
My maternal grandfather, is graciously crossed to the league of potential octogenarian, daddy’s potentiality is evidently show in us all. Daddy’s intellectual prowess is in first class category. In fact, daddy is a mobile library. An intellectual personality indeed!
Alhaji Rasheed, is a student of substance throughout his academic persuade.
Akowi( A writer) as fondly called, whose intellectual content earn him numerous academic awards, scholarship and recognized certificates among other benefits. Daddy started his academic persuasion at Swendburg (New Church) memorial school Owo, Ondo State, during his days, daddy’s academic performance made him more popular beyond denial, he’s a born genius to say.
In a bid to satisfied his thirst for knowledge and develop his potential in knowledge acquisition, daddy furthered his education at Ansrul deen Secondary Modern school, because of his diversification in knowledge, he later round off his secondary school education at All Saint Secondary modern school, Owo in Ondo State.
After, which he got his first appointment at the defunct Ilorin Native authority 1967 (now the divided local governments). Daddy’s administrative prowess earn him an opportunity as to serve at the Kwara State Ministry of Agriculture, 1974 and served meritoriously well till 1985 when he retired from public service. Subsequently, Alhaji briefly served at Kwara State Governor’s office, Ilorin.
As a potential administrator, Daddy’s got a contract appointment as a financial Clark at the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Ilorin from 2003 till 2020 when he resigned his appointment on health basis.
As a comrade per excellent, daddy’s credibility in humanity service is well acknowledged by the teeming Nigeria pensioners, particular in Kwara state. Should you see comradeship sagacity in me, it’s from blood.
Daddy’s humility attract favorable public appraisal among his contemporary.
Politically, as a grassroot politician, daddy’s involvement in politics is not only limited to community agitation but also to promote political emancipation within the host community. As a result of daddy’s political prowess and writing skills, Alhaji occupied many political positions, not restricted to PDP ward secretary(Oke-Ogun Ilorin South) for good uninterrupted 14 years service to humanity.
Traceably, as a core loyalist to the late Abdubakar Olusola Saraki, of the blessed memory, daddy served the dynasty with full loyalty and all political principles which tailored and agreed to principle of political engagements with little or no compromise.
Appreciatively, daddy is blessed with potential and societal showy personalities, among but not limited to, Abdlulrasheed Olarewaju Ganiyu who is an Agric expert, Rasheed Yekeen who is seasoned radio, TV, online media presenter with vast knowledge in the industry. The duo were not alone as numerous blessing enjoys by the Alhaji but formed the integral part of many children, grandchildren and great – grandchildren of the celebrant.
