Senator Saliu Mustapha, the Turaki of Ilorin Emirate and Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, has dismissed rumors of his alleged defection and endorsement, describing them as fake news.
According to a press release issued by his media aide, Nasif Sholagberu, the senator’s attention was drawn to a series of fabricated reports circulating on social media, which alleged a purported endorsement and defection involving him.
However, the senator has refused to dignify the fake news with rebuttals, stating that “leadership and ambition are determined solely by the will of God Almighty, not by smear campaigns.” He remains steadfast in his mandate at the National Assembly, which is to deliver quality representation to the good people of Kwara Central Senatorial District.
The senator also reiterated his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that he remains a staunch and loyal founding member of the party. He urged the public to disregard the fake news and treat it as the product of the imagination of mischief makers who have nothing constructive to offer.
The press release emphasized that Senator Mustapha’s contributions to the creation, growth, and continued success of the APC are well documented and highly regarded by stakeholders and members.
