Kwara PDP’s Secretary Bags KWASU MSc, Lauds The Visions of Saraki

As I stand at this juncture, poised with gratitude and reflection, I am profoundly humbled by the journey that has led me to this moment. It is with immense joy and a heart brimming with gratitude that I extend my sincerest appreciation for the successful completion of my Masters Degree Programme (MSc) in Computer Science from the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete during its 2023 Combined Convocation Ceremony.

Today’s celebration is not solely mine to revel in. It’s a testament to the unwavering support, prayers, and guidance that have been generously bestowed upon me. Gratitude must first be rendered to Almighty Allah, whose grace and mercy have illuminated my path and guided me through every step of this rewarding expedition.

I am compelled to acknowledge the exceptional visionaries whose foresight and dedication have been pivotal in shaping my academic odyssey. Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki’s founding of KWASU, stands as a beacon of transformation, opening doors of opportunity for countless individuals, including yours sincerely.

The establishment of this world-class university of entrepreneurship and community development shattered barriers and revitalized educational pursuits in our community, alleviating the struggles that once burdened students seeking university admission in Kwara State.

The foundation was laid during Dr. Saraki’s first tenure as the governor of Kwara State, as its first academic session kicked off in 2009, two years after his second tenure, and the sustainability of the legacy by his immediate successor, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, affectionately known as Maigida, including remodeling of Ilorin General Hospital, which was the foundation for the recently named Kwara State University Teaching Hospital (KWASUTH), has not only fostered the growth of KWASU but also cultivated an environment conducive for academic excellence and community development. Their collective efforts birthed a thriving institution that has not only granted education but has also become an engine for socio-economic growth, generating thousands of direct and indirect jobs, graduating thousands of students, and placing Malete prominently on the world map.

My academic journey owes its pivot to the nurturing environment and resources provided by KWASU. From the corridors of my National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, to the enriching years of my BSc in Computer Science from KWASU culminating in a Second Class Upper Division and now the successful completion of my MSc in Computer Science, I am indebted to the support, guidance, and learning opportunities afforded by this esteemed institution, my lecturer, supervisors and fellow students.

Gratitude also extends to my dear wife and children, lovely siblings, cherished friends, and family members, whose unwavering encouragement, sacrifices, and firm belief in my abilities have been the cornerstone of my achievements. Their unflagging support has been the wind beneath my wings, propelling me towards this significant milestone.

As the State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara, I carry with me invaluable lessons, experiences, and cherished memories, which will further inform my decisions on how better we can serve the people for growth and lasting development in our dear state. I aspire to pay forward the generosity and support I’ve received by contributing meaningfully to society and inspiring others to reach their fullest potential.

With deep gratitude and a heart overflowing with appreciation, I thank every one of you who has been a part of my journey. Your support has not only shaped my academic success but has also enriched my life in immeasurable ways.

Thank you as I remain, the very truly yours.

Abdulrahman Abdullahi Kayode (Greatkay),
