The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has felicitated with the Emir of Ilorin, HRM, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on the occasion of his 25th anniversary on throne as the 11th Emir of Ilorin Emirate.
In a goodwill message signed by its State Chairman, Engr. Kola Shittu, the party said it was delighted to join family members, associates, sons and daughters of Ilorin to celebrate the revered monarch, whom it said had continued to uphold the beautiful history, traditions and culture of the Emirate.
The Kwara PDP also extolled the traditional ruler for his excellent leadership, charisma, philanthropy and strong commitment to the peace, growth and development of Ilorin, Kwara and the country at large.
The party described the Emir as a worthy father, leader and an elder statesman whose leadership, love, and commitment to the cause of his subjects is unparalleled.
“Our party is delighted to join family members, associates, wellwishers and sons and daughters of Ilorin Emirate to celebrate the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Traditional Council of Chiefs, HRM, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on his 25th anniversary on the throne of his forefathers.
“We commend His Royal Majesty his excellent leadership, charisma, philanthropy and strong commitment to the peace, growth and development of Ilorin, Kwara and the country at large.
“For the past 25 years, the Emir has been playing a fatherly role as as vanguard of peace, stability and development. He’s a detribalised Nigerian and very accommodating leader. We will continue to drink from his wealth of experience, knowledge and wisdom,” Shittu said.
The Kwara PDP prayed Almighty Allah to bless the Emir with long life, sound health, wisdom and peace of mind that will enable him continue to add value to the progress and peace of Ilorin Emirate and Kwara state as a whole.
