Just Event Online Publications, a prominent online media house based in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, today Nov 9 2023, marked its 7th Anniversary with significant announcements

Announced that Kehinde AbdulRasaq, a graduate of Counsellor Education from the University of Ilorin, as the Managing Director of Just Event Online and Hanifat Ismail, who holds a degree in Mass Communication from the National Open University of Nigeria, takes on the role of Head of News and Current Affairs and Welfare Director
Aiyelabegan said that since its inception in 2016, Just Event Online has excelled in the realm of digital journalism, setting new standards and making remarkable strides.
The media house has become a prominent source of information, covering a wide spectrum of topics, from events and social activities to current news, programs, elections and trending issues.
Speaking further, Aiyelabegan said Just Event Online’s commitment to education and community welfare as the media house has been actively involved in organizing free summer lessons for students during long holidays, leading to over 60 students being awarded full scholarships.
Announcing roles in the organization, the importance of qualified individuals leading various departments within the media house was highlighted. Kehinde AbdulRasaq, as the Managing Director, will also serve as the chief editor of videos and pictures. Hanifat Ismail, will head the News department while overseeing welfare matters at Just Event Online.
Other key appointments include Isiaka Rasheed, who holds Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from Kwara State Polytechnics, Ilorin, leading the organization’s foundation with support from Fatimah Seriki, a Mass Communication graduate from Kwara State University, Malete. Isiaq Abdulqadir, a graduate of History and International Studies from the University of Ilorin, will co-head the Programs department alongside Isiaka Rasheed.
Hanifat Ismail and Fatimah Seriki will be overseeing the SIWES (Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme) students.
Aiyelabegan congratulated all members of Just Event Online and emphasized on the importance of upholding ethical standards in journalism.
He urged journalists in Kwara State to continue promoting ethical journalism to contribute to a more informed and responsible society.
