The entire members of the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) under the auspices of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, CFR, Felicitates with Prof. Mashood Mahmud Jimba, as the Chairman of the Kwara State Arabic Education Board and Engr. (Dr) Kamilu Dauda, FNSE, on Award of Honourary Degree on him by the European-American University, Lagos State.
A Statement jointly signed by the National President of the association, Alh. Abdullahi Babatunde Salaudeen and the National Publicity Secretary, Alh. Mohammed Uthman Jagunma described Prof. Jimba’s appointment by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara, Mall. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, as well-deserved and a round peg in the round hole, considering his enormous contributions to the development of Arabic Education in Kwara State, Nigeria and beyond.
IEYDA charged Prof. Jimba to put his wealth of experience into restructuring Arabic Education in the State, as it is a journey to the roots, most especially in Ilorin Emirate, owing to the fact that Arabic Education was the first form of Education the people of the Emirate got exposed to hundreds of years ago, while praying Allah to guide Prof. Jimba and his Board Members aright in the discharge of their responsibilities.
The IEYDA also described the Conferment of Honourary Doctorate Degree on Engr. (Dr) Mohammed Kamilu Dauda, FNSE, as a honour well-deserved, considering his enormous contributions to the development of his Community and its people, most importantly, his highly commendable various Education Support Programmes and Scholarships to Indigent Students and many more.
It charged Engr. Dauda to see this enviable recognition as a further clarion call to Service to Humanity, while praying Allah to continue elevating him higher.
