Ilorin College of Health Technology Matriculates Over 150 Students in Inaugural Ceremony

In a momentous occasion that marked a new chapter in academic endeavors, Ilorin College of Health Technology proudly welcomed more than 150 enthusiastic students into its fold during the institution’s inaugural Matriculation Ceremony held today at its premises in Gaa Odota, Ilorin.

The ceremony, graced by a distinguished array of guests and dignitaries, showcased a blend of excitement and determination among the newly matriculated students as they embarked on their academic journey in various healthcare disciplines.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. AA Muhammad, the Acting Provost of the college, delivered a compelling message underscoring the values of integrity, moral uprightness, and academic excellence. He urged the students to steer clear of social vices such as cultism and exam malpractice, emphasizing the pivotal role of ethical conduct in their professional development.


Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, in his address, expressed unwavering government support for the institution and pledged to foster a conducive learning environment that nurtures innovation and excellence.

Alhaji BABATUNDE Saliu, the Registrar of Kwara State College of Health Technology Offa, commended the students for their choice of profession and urged them to be exemplary ambassadors of the healthcare profession. He applauded the college’s initiatives in shaping the future of healthcare in the region.

The matriculating students, enrolled in diverse programs such as Pharmacy Technician, Paramedics, Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW), and Community Health, represent a promising cohort poised to make meaningful contributions to the healthcare sector.

Abdulwasiu Salami Onidugbe, Representative of IEDPU, Alhaji Amode, IEYDA Representative, Alh Moyosore ,Magaji Are of Ilorin, Alh Aremu Zubair, Director of Health, Ministry of Tertiary, and various community and industry leaders, reflecting the collective commitment to advancing education and healthcare delivery in Kwara State.
