In a remarkable celebration of the 28th Coronation anniversary of the Emir of Ilorin, the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) held its 3rd annual Youth Summit, combining insightful discussions on food security with a heartfelt initiative to distribute food to the less privileged.

Alhaji Babatunde Salaudeen, President of IEYDA, expressed the organization’s commitment to providing relief to the less privileged through the establishment of a food bank. He highlighted that this initiative is not only a gesture of goodwill but also a way to commemorate the longstanding reign of the Emir on the throne.

As part of the commemorative activities, IEYDA members actively participated in distributing food items to underserved communities, extending a helping hand to those in need. The act of charity not only aligned with the association’s values but also resonated with the spirit of the Emir’s anniversary celebration.

Distinguished guest lecturers at the summit delved into crucial discussions on food security, addressing challenges and proposing sustainable solutions. The summit aimed to empower the youth with knowledge and insights to contribute towards ensuring a more secure and nourished future for the community.

Community leaders, alongside enthusiastic youths, engaged in the summit’s discussions, fostering a sense of unity and shared responsibility. The interactive sessions provided a platform for participants to exchange ideas and explore collaborative efforts in addressing food security challenges within the region.

The convergence of celebrating the Emir’s long reign, promoting food security awareness, and engaging in acts of kindness towards the less privileged showcased a holistic approach to community development. IEYDA’s initiative serves as a testament to the organization’s dedication to both traditional values and modern societal needs.
