What a sobriety!
I did not only feel perplexed and disheartened but also sad and completely down, when the demise of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Ilorin North West Constituency in 2019 Kwara State House of Assembly election, Hon. Olanrewaju Abdulmajeed Oba was annunciated yesterday morning.
Larry, as popularly called, bade farewell to us at a very youngish age, especially at the time when his political shining light was fastest looming. Undebatably, his death left an indelible and great sore in the minds of the politicians across political divides and non-politicians within and outside Ilorin Emirate.
The young man expeditiously completed his sojourn in the world and this has undoubtedly thrown family members, friends, political associates and his fans into an abrupt dejection; but, we should take solace in the fact that he did not only die as a faithful Muslim but also lived a successful life widely known for manifold humanitarian services.
May Allah continue to shower His mercies and blessings upon his soul and comfort the family members and other concerned people who have been suddenly whisked into eternal sadness.
