ECOWAS Youth Council appoints Law Student, UNILORIN as Ambassador

The West African Youth Council of ECOWAS has appointed Dauda Abdurrazaq Gidado, a student of University of Ilorin as West Africa Youth Ambassador on Friday 8th of April 2022.

According the letter, the appointment is as a result of his laudable antecedents of dedication, hard work and diligence in the area of service towards humanity.

It reads in part;

“I am pleased to confirm that the board of the West African (ECOWAS) Youth Council on the recommendation of her young people has appointed you as a WEST AFRICA YOUTH AMBASSADOR”

“The appointment is not unconnected with your laudable antecedents of dedication, hard work and diligence in the area of service to humanity and your commendable works as an advocate and relentless crusader of promoting entrepreneurship for African youths”

Who is Dauda?
Dauda Abdurrazaq is from Ilorin, Kwara State. He is a 500l student of common and islamic law at the University of Ilorin. He’s known for his hard working and goal oriented individual with passion for societal development.

Dauda has served in multiple areas in humanity service as the immediate past Assistant General Secretary of the Law Students’ Society (LSS), University Of Ilorin Chapter. He was the Director for Socials in the just concluded administration of the National Executive Council of Law Students’ Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN).

As the National Director for Socials he was able to utilize his leadership and administrative skills for the interest of all students of law.

He is also a member of Young ICC an international organization for young people in ADR.

Dauda is a social media manager and publicity expert. This has landed him various roles such as being the social media strategist of Mulloy Consulting, A member of some Media Teams (Names Withheld due to terms of service).

Achievements

Dauda Abdurrazaq Gidado has added to his record, several awards which includes: The Most Supportive Law Student in Nigeria 2020, Most Supportive Activist Human Rights Chamber Unilorin 2022, The Law Student of the Year, University of Ilorin, 2021 and The Most Promising Activist of Human Rights Chambers, University of Ilorin, 2019.

He was conferred the honor of the Commander Of The Order Of Law Student Association of Nigeria (COL) in 2021 and Senior Activist of Human Rights Chambers (SAHRC) 2022.

He has distinguished himself and has tried to be very supportive and resourceful anywhere he finds himself.

He has a large record as an administrator and a technocrat, he has tried as much as possible to put the interest of people first before his own and known for this popular mantra ‘putting you first’ to be his watchword.
