Budo-Egba Community Appreciates Oloriegbe With Road, Chieftaincy Title

In recognition of his indelible contributions to the development of the Budo-Egba town and Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State, members of the Budo-Egba community under the leadership of the Alangua of Budo-Egba, Malam Issa Ishola, on Sunday, bestowed a chieftaincy title on the immediate past Senator of Kwara Central Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe.The recognition was part of the event organized to celebrate the exceptional contributions of illustrious sons and daughters of the community towards the socio-economic and sociopolitical development of Budo-Egba town.Oloriegbe, honoured with the title of “Akorede of Budo-Egba Land” was recognized for his numerous impacts and interventions in the community, significantly, the facilitation of the first-ever Neuropsychiatric Hospital in the whole of the North Central geopolitical zone, sited in the community. The health facility, also the only Federal government institution in the whole of Asa Local Government Area has since commenced operation to the service of humanity and was one of the legacy projects of Sen. Oloriegbe as a member of the 9th Senate that represented Kwara Central Senatorial District.In addition to the chieftaincy title, Budo-Egba to Gbooroko Road in Asa Local Government was also named after the erstwhile lawmaker as people took turns to shower encomiums on him for his outstanding representation which put Budo-Egba and Asa into the global map.Represented by his aides and loyalists led by Alh Waheed Piri, Oloriegbe appreciated the community for finding him worthy of honours, promising to continue to serve humanity further in every one of his endeavours.The event, had the Grand Mukadam of Ilorin Emirate, Shaykh Suleiman Dan-Borno as the guest lecturer, and was graced by several high-profile dignitaries including members of Kwara State House of Assembly, led to the event by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Kolawole Ojo, Kwara SUBEB Chairman, Prof. Sheu Abdur-Raheem Adaramaja, Former Commissioners, Salman Jawondo, SAN, and Mopelola Riskat, TIC Chairman of Asa Local Government Area, captains of industry, traditional title holders, politicians, and others.
