Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation to Governor of Kwara State and National Coordinator of Freedom Network Group, Hon. Comrade Lukman Olukayode Ahmed has congratulated the newly elected National Executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Comrade Lukman Olukayode Ahmed in a statement on Sunday described the just concluded national congress as the most peaceful and orderly, noting that the party has continued to demonstrate high level of maturity in handling its internal affairs which would in turn manifest in overall development of the Nation.
The party stalwart charged the new APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and other executives to run an open door policy in order to strengthen and broaden the membership base of the party.
The Kwara State Governor’Aide also appreciated the convention sub-committees for the hitch free exercise.
“The successful conduct of our convention yesterday has put to rest the unnecessary internal wrangling which attempted to rout the foundation of our dear party. We are grateful to the fatherly roles of President Muhammadu Buhari whose political dexterity calmed the frayed nerves in the build up to the convention. The out gone chairman of Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Governor Mai Mala Buni and his team have demonstrated unmatched capacity to discharge the duties vested on them “ he said.
Comrade Lukman Olukayode Ahmed specifically congratulated Kwara State APC family led by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq who was also the Chairman of the Budget Sub-committee, adding that the zero budgetary recorded during the convention has once again deepened the calls by notable Kwarans for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to run for second term come 2023.
” Indeed, he was charged with the security aspects of the convention and he delivered just as he has liberated Kwara State from the shackles of insecurity.We need him to consolidate on the achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari especially on the task of securing the State”, he said.
