The Aspirant for the seat of Member, Federal House of Representatives, Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency, Mallam Muktar Tolani Shagaya, on Friday, praised the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on the occasion of his 82nd birthday.
A statement by the Shagaya Director of Media and Publicity, Basheer Luqmam read, “Mallam Muktar described the royal father as an accomplished jurist, forthright leader, symbol of peace and unity not only to the people of Ilorin Emirate but to the generality of Kwarans and Nigerians of divergent extractions. He affirmed that the Royal Father has remained a strong pillar of support to all sons and daughters of Ilorin Emirate since he assumed the throne of his forefathers in 1995 as the 11th Emir of Ilorin.
“Shagaya enjoins the Serikin Musulumim and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Council to continue to deploy his energies towards the furtherance of peace, unity, progress and development of not only Kwara State but the entire nation.”
