Ilorin, Feb 24, 2025 – The Dele Shittu Foundation has launched a Food Relief Program to provide essential food items to 6,000 vulnerable individuals across Kwara State.
The initiative, which commenced on Sunday, February 23, will run until February 26, 2025. The first phase, launched in Offa, Ojoku, Epe, Ijagbo and Igosun, has already reached numerous families facing food insecurity.
Speaking on the project’s impact, Mr. Toyeeb Ibrahim (MBA), Manager of the Dele Shittu Foundation, expressed appreciation for the successful execution of the initiative. He noted that the program targets 6,000 beneficiaries from 1,500 households across the state.
Ibrahim attributed the success of the initiative to Dr. Lanre Shittu, Chairman of the Foundation, emphasizing his dedication to humanitarian efforts.
“The success of this initiative made possible by the extraordinary generosity of Dr. Lanre Shittu. His financial commitment and deep compassion for the less privileged continue to inspire meaningful change,” Ibrahim stated.

The Food Relief Program includes the distribution of staple food items such as rice, beans, and garri, aiming to alleviate hunger and support struggling households.
Toyeeb concluded that as the project progresses, more communities across Kwara State are expected to benefit from the initiative.
