A Former Member of the House of Representatives, Hon, Abdulwahab Oladimeji Issa has joined other well meaning Kwarans and Nigerians in rejoicing with the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari (CFR) on the occasion of his 25th Anniversary on the throne.
In a statement issued by one of his Media Officers, Aliu Ahmad Gold, Hon. Abdulwahab also felicitated with the people of Ilorin and Kwara state on the momentous occasion, describing the 25 years of the reign of Emir as eventful and beneficial to the state and humanity.
“May I note that in the last 25 years on the throne of his forefathers, Mai Martaba – Sarki Ilorin has demonstrated exemplary leadership and lived above board while remaining as the rallying point of all his subjects”.
“As a spiritual leader and custodian of culture and tradition, His Royal Highness has played significant roles in the promotion of inter- faith dialogue and harmony, socio-cultural co-operation, communal living and peaceful co-existence among diverse peoples”, the former Lawmaker observed.
Hon. Wahab also described the Emir as a bridge builder, helping to bring together people of diverse persuasions and backgrounds to live in peace, unity, tolerance and harmony, and prayed that Almighty God continue to grant the traditional ruler excellent health, courage, wisdom and many years of selfless service to the caliphate city of Ilorin and Kwara at large.
