The Pro-democracy group in Kwara North under the aegis of Kwara North Youth Initiative Pioneer has challenged Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq and Kwara All Progressives Congress (APC) over failure to comply with fairness, equity and justice for ministerial nomination.
The group which stated the ineptitude of the APC for lacking the foresight to nominate one of their sons.
In their remarks, there are unique people everywhere. They come once in a generation and leave indelible footprints wherever they find themselves. When a positive government observe such rare breeds in her state and beyond, the need to pay more than a passing attention to such zone or group of people becomes sacrosanct.
Kwara North political ideology is largely concerned with the belief and hope that All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State will allocate power and to what ends it Should be used. It was a prudent collective decision coupled with lots of agitations from Kwara North to have secured bloc votes for the election of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the re-election of Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
The group stated that Kwara North Senatorial District has paid their dues, loyalty, sacrifices which is conspicuously noticed by all. Our voices was heard. But during the pay back time, our voices were denied. Kwara North deserve a compensation and not vilification and injustice we’re seeing as of today.
The need to support this convinction that Kwara North deserve a juicy opportunities and appointments is largely for the protection of collective interest in pursuit of common circular and welfarism at efficacy. Posterity have it that, Kwara North has most outstanding individuals and resourceful leaders featured with analysis of hypothesis on political dispensation to be saddled with a responsibility within the state and even beyond.
Who exactly is to be blamed with this veridical approach? Ofcourse the state government is responsible for this misplaced optimism. We’re meant to also believe that there are some traitorous, treacherous and disloyal stakeholders colluding in secret to reach a melevolent goal. Enough is enough!
If His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq can not fight on how to compensate the good people of Kwara North who came out in mass to secure bloc votes for him with a tangible Federal Government appointments and also a better responsibility within the state not the likes of the opportunities that has no meaningful impacts to the people and development of the zone. then, we must say that our own governor is the true enemy of Kwara North the group said. We cannot continue to fold our hands and watch other zones enjoying the privileges we’re also entitled for despite the fact that Kwara North contributed greatly to the economy of the state.
In the last political landscape in Kwara State, Kwara North produced a governorship candidate in person of HE. Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in which the rulling All Progressives Congress made the electorates most especially the Kwara Northerners to believe that the former Governor of Kwara State and the President of the 8th National Assembly, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki was the brain behind Shuaibu Yaman candidacy. The chant went on that, Saraki is using Yaman to hijack the state once more and this prompt All Progressives Congress to come up with a slogan known as ”ISENLO”. This slogan was used to deceive the masses we must say.
During the eight unprecedented administration of the former President Muhammad Buhari, Kwara South had the primer opportunity to serve as a minister of Information, culture and communication while the former senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Sen Gbemisola Rukayat Saraki also held the state minister for transportation and later served as minister for state steel and mines development. It is now expected that the better time for Kwara Northerners to produce a Minister of Federal Republic of Nigeria is now or never.
The act of not compensating Kwara North with Ministerial appointment is a game to compromise Kwara Northerners in 2027 the group stated.
