Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has hailed the virtues of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate for Kwara Central, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, describing him as a man of the people and team player.
The ruling APC government in Kwara will be well-positioned to continue offering good governance to the people of the State with Saliu Mustapha becoming the next Kwara Central Senator, the Governor said.
Governor Abdulrazaq, stated this on Saturday, during the inauguration of Saliu Mustapha Campaign Team at Saliu Mustapha Foundation Office, Fate in Ilorin, the State Capital.
According to him, Saliu Mustapha is a man with a large heart that loves the common man.
“He is the man of the people and a team player. He enjoys a wide acceptability rating among the people. We believe APC will win big with him as Kwara Central Senatorial Candidate”.
Speaking further he said: “The opposition are afraid of Saliu Mustapha because he is a formidable Turaki. Initially their leader (Saraki) wanted to go back to Abuja by contesting for Senate but he backed down due to the entrance of Mallam Saliu Mustapha as our APC candidate.
“We want a Senator with a strong network that would give us leverage in Abuja and complement the State Government efforts. Saliu Mustapha is already doing this. He is a responsible, responsive and proactive leader”.
AbdulRazaq charged the Campaign Team to canvass support for all APC candidates in order to silence the opposition elements permanently.
In his remarks, Saliu Mustapha, urged the Campaign Team to work for all the party’s flag-bearers from the State House of Assembly to President.
“Don’t allow anybody to deceive you. We must work for the victory of all APC candidates during the 2023 general elections. As you mobilize support for Saliu Mustapha, you must work for the re-election of our performing Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, House of Representatives, House of Assembly and Presidential Candidates,” he said.
While inaugurating the Saliu Mustapha Campaign Team, Barr. Abdulkareem, said the Campaign Council comprises Central Coordinating Team (CCT), Local Government Campaign Team and 1200 Ward Canvassers.
Kwara APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, State Commissioners for Tertiary Education, Agriculture, Communications and Finances, House of Assembly candidates for Ilorin South and Owode/Onire Constituencies; Yusuf Aladi and Rukayat Shittu, APC Kwara Central Senatorial Chairman, Party local government Chairmen, Barrister Kunle Sulyman and other dignitaries attended the event.
