Under the Governor’s leadership, Kwara State has witnessed significant strides in infrastructural development, youth empowerment, and overall well-being of its citizens. The Governor’s commitment to combating drug abuse has been particularly noteworthy, with innovative strategies, community sensitization, and compassionate policies creating safer communities and protecting the youth from addiction, He stated

The Governor’s achievements in drug abuse prevention have been recognized through initiatives like “Operation Gbalumo,” a statewide operation launched in partnership with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to rid the state of drug and substance abuse. The state has also hosted summits, such as the 1st Kwara Stakeholders Summit on Drug Abuse Prevention and Control, to forge a common front in the fight against drug abuse.
