500 Students Benefits from Kwara Lawmaker, Aladi Scholarship

 

In a remarkable display of commitment to education, Hon. Maryam Yusuf Aladi, Deputy Whip and Member Representing Ilorin South State Constituency, has launched the 9th Edition of the MAY Foundation’s Educational Scholarship Scheme.

Commencing on Monday, January 22, 2024, the scholarship initiative encompasses a full educational scholarship for the second term of the 2023/2024 session, along with the distribution of essential writing materials to all 45 secondary schools within Ilorin South Constituency.

Hon. Maryam Yusuf Aladi’s sponsorship of this scholarship program reflects her dedication to ensuring that every citizen has access to quality basic education. The flagship event unfolded at Fate/Basin Secondary School and reached schools such as Bishop Smith Secondary School, Sheikh Abdulsalam Secondary School, United Community Secondary School, and Government Secondary School Oke Aluko.

The educational caravan extended its reach to Muhyideen Arabic Junior Secondary School, Sango Junior Secondary School, Government Girls Day Secondary School Oke Suna, St Barnabas Junior Secondary School, and St Williams Secondary School, among others.

In total, 500 students from 45 schools across Ilorin South State Constituency are set to benefit from this edition of the scholarship program, marking a significant stride towards enhancing educational opportunities for the youth in the region.
